JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist – Email/CRM supports the Kentucky Lottery Corporation’s (KLC’s) Digital Marketing Team by planning, executing, and optimizing end-to-end email marketing campaigns using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Strategizes and creates content to increase key performance metrics in player acquisition, growth, retention, and overall brand and beneficiary awareness. Analyzes return-on-investment of campaigns and uses these insights to enhance future campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES
- Creates, tests, implements, and monitors all email marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with KLC’s digital marketing strategy. Develops KLC’s email marketing strategy and maintains calendar of scheduled campaigns. Leads bi-weekly collaborative calendar review session with Marketing and Products teams.
- Manages Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Works with external technology partners, vendors, and key internal stakeholders to define strategies and troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues.
- Develops multi-channel (email, push, etc.) communication journeys, effectively migrating potential players from leads to engaged consumers.
- Implements optimization recommendations related to the KLC’s marketing automation program utilizing email, SMS, push notifications, etc. Partners with Digital Marketing Team to integrate strategies with web content and other channels.
- Evaluates results of campaigns to determine return on investment (ROI) and recommends enhancements to improve future efforts.
- Designs and develops tools to manage reporting and analytics including key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for business stakeholders.
- Identifies, researches, and implements emerging technological innovations to enhance digital marketing strategies, optimize campaign performance, and drive engagement in alignment with organizational goals.
- Assists Digital Marketing Manager with special projects and other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related Social Science required; related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum two years’ experience with data query systems and software and/or email marketing automation or CRM systems. Experience with Optimove preferred.
- Experience with HTML or other web languages/software a plus.
- Experience in the gaming industry a plus.
- Working knowledge of PC and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams, including communications, customer service, information technology, marketing, and vendors.
- Ability to organize work, respond to changing priorities, and multitask.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, peers, and employees.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills, as well as practical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Salary Range: $52,836- $79,254. Placement within the salary range is determined based on years of directly relatable experience for the position.
